Whether or not you agree with LGBTQ people, and regardless of politics, beliefs or biases, the fact remains that THEY ARE in fact PEOPLE, and they STILL EXIST whether you like or not. To shut down suicide hotlines for people who are feeling marginalized enough to contemplate taking their own lives is just inhumane. And yes, there are general hotlines to call that still exist. But it is also true that research shows that they are more likely to confide in allies, which is why they have a separate suicide hotline in the first place. . Are we great again yet?
